H&H Properties...
H&H Properties L.L.C. is a
family-owned business which has had its roots in Boise
for over 35 years. In 1962 Duane M. Hamilton and his
wife Sally began with one rental unit. Today the
company, which has passed to a second generation,
manages over 400 rental units. In addition to the
management business the company has opened a
full-service real estate office.
In the early years rental property was a sideline for
the Hamilton's.
Duane worked as a Vice
President for Albertson's grocery chain and Sally was
busy raising their three sons and working for the Postal
Service. In addition to the family-owned rentals they
began taking on management of properties owned by
others.
With the business growing Duane decided to take early
retirement in 1983 and they opened H&H Properties in
their home. Sally answered the phones and managed the
office while Duane showed the units to prospective
renters and did all of the cleaning and repair work.
In 1993 they bought another company and merged it into
H&H Properties. At that time one of the Hamilton's
sons, Bart, came into the company. Bart, who had been in
law enforcement, eventually returned to his department
as arrangements were made for his older brother, Craig,
to buy the company in 1994 from Duane and Sally.
After leaving Drake Mechanical Plumbing as Service
Manager in early 1995 Craig established the company
office in a business complex on Overland Road As the
company continued to grow Craig brought his younger
brother, Duane E. Hamilton, into the firm in early 1996
after his retirement from the Air Force in aircraft
maintenance. Their combined experiences bring strong
business, mechanical and organizational skills to the
company.
Craig realized that real estate sales marketing would be
a natural to compliment the property management
business. In 1995 he acquired his real estate license
and began sharing his time between management of H&H
Properties and selling property under a local broker. He
obtained his broker's license and opened a real estate
office under the H&H Properties L.L.C. banner. In mid
1999 both entities were combined under one roof in a new
building at 520 Orchard Street.
With the new millennium at hand H&H Properties continues
to make the changes necessary to provide top-rate
services to its property owners, tenants and real estate
clients while maintaining the friendly atmosphere of a
family-owned business.
